I was born and raised in a small town in Northern California and I am proud to be a country girl. My boyfriend Brandon and I have been together for 5 years now and ( I hate to brag ) have the perfect relationship :) Him and I are so completely different which makes everyday so much fun. Not a day goes by that he doesn't make me smile and he always makes me feel special and so loved. Both of my parents were born in Portugal but met here in the United States and have been married for 26 years. They have been the most amazing role models and I look up to all they have done and all the sacrifices they have made to give my brother and I all they could. I have one brother who is 22 and he is definitely one of my best friends. Being so close in age helped us to be super close and I wouldn't have it any other way. I have a very close group of friends who I have grown up with and share so many memories with. We pretty much do everything together and always find a way to have fun.
When I'm not working or doing homework I love to play sports or do anything active with my boyfriend and our puppy Wrigley. Wrigley is a two and a half year old American Bulldog who has definitely become my first child. He is spoiled in every way and I love him to death.
I try to live everyday to the fullest because you never know when this amazing journey will end. "Life aint always beautiful, but it's a beautiful ride"
Hi Melissa
ReplyDeleteI can honestly say that, before I began to teach online classes, blogging was not me either. But if your experience is anything like the experience of my previous students, you will learn to love it - especially in comparison to Blackboard-based activities. ;-)
Regardless of whether you thought you'd ever have a blog, this one looks beautiful. It was a lot of fun to read about your life in the introduction, and can't help but wonder why you named your puppy Wrigley? It's a cute name, and I feel like there's a story behind it.
Enjoy the semester! It's great to meet you.

Hey Melissa!
ReplyDeleteI used to think the same thing about blogging, until my friend got me hooked! I think you'll like it! I know I have! =D
P.S. Yay for being a Speech and Hearing Sciences Major!!
Hello Melissa,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, I am not a blogger myself. It’s new for me, but I could see how it can grow on you, it all takes time. New experiences never hurt, and like you said try it at least once. I love your dogs name, it’s so cute! I have a cat named Tommy, he acts like a dog! I actually think, he thinks his a dog, he does the funniest things! For instance, when people knock on the front door he runs to the door and starts to greil, like a dog! It so funny!! My cat loves to play fetch, he has little ball toys and he like for me to throw them and he will go fetch them and bring his toy back to me to start all over. I have never had a cat to do the things that he does, he is definitely different but in a good way. :0 I love how you talk about how strong your relationship is. You hardly hear that anymore. I am in a wonderful relationship myself; we are engage and are set to get married next November. It’s an amazing feeling to know you have found your soul mate. Wish both of you many more memories!!!
